On Monday 9th October, eight of our Year 5 children made the journey to Stanley Park to take part in a very exciting tournament, arranged by Blackpool Football Club!

We all had a fabulous time and showed off not just our amazing football skills but the amazing qualities that Our Lady's children really pride themselves on - humility, kindness, resilience and strength of character.

The cup started with a mini-league. We had four games to play. In our first game, we drew 1-1 with St Kentigern's. In our second game, we managed to fend off Baines Endowed to win 3-2. Our third game against Waterloo ended 1-0 to Waterloo and our fourth game ended 4-0 to Hawes Side.

We finished third in our group of five and Mr Whetnall couldn't have been any more proud of how each and every player conducted themselves and showed off all of their fantastic talents.

Well done, Our Lady's FC!
