PERFECT PROMISES: PRESENCE

The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth; He has ordered me to build Him a Temple in Jerusalem, in Judah. Whoever there is among you of all His people, may His God be with him! Let him go up.

2 Chronicles 36:23

Key Messages (Week beginning Monday 11th March 2024)
Children will understand that:

  • God made a promise that He will always be with His people.

  • The Holy Spirit is God’s presence in the world and within us.

  • We can bring more of God’s presence to the world as we GIVE, ACT and PRAY this Lent.

At Our Lady's we like to support our parents/carers in Online Safety matters.

Keeping children and young people safe online is one of the biggest challenges facing society today and it is all of our responsibility to ensure that children are educated to make positive, informed choices when they are online.

This month’s online safety guide gives helpful advice about…

What Parents and Carers Need to Know about Persuasive Design Online - This free online safety guide provides insight on persuasive design – highlighting its potential effect on behaviour and providing some tips to minimise its impact.

We hope you find this guide informative and helpful in promoting the positive use of technology to make the online world a better and safer place for us all.

Year 4 and Year 5 Class Trip

Please see the letter that has come home regards our class trip to Stratford Upon Avon to watch the new RSC production of Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream, on Thursday 21st March 2024.

Our learning this week…

In English, we have been continuing to explore the Shakespeare play ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. This week we have been developing our understanding of some of the key characters in the play and the children have enjoyed the active approaches, using role play to consider how the characters might feel and respond to the events in the story.

In Maths we have been developing our knowledge of area further, considering how to draw rectilinear shapes and ways in which we might compare the area. The children have also explored a variety of word problems linked to area, to consolidate their understanding further.

In RE this week we have been thinking about ways in which Christians share in the life of Jesus through receiving Holy Communion, prayer and following in the actions of Jesus.

Spellings, times tables and homework

The children will be continuing to learn their spellings and tables given out on Monday 26th February 2024, this needs to be returned by Monday 11th March 2024.

The children have all come home with their login for TTRS, please can you support your child to access this on a regular basis.

PE -

Please note, PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday.
