Jubilee Joy: Hope

For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to celebrate.

Luke 15:24

Key Messages for Whole School Worship

Children will understand that:

  • The Year of Jubilee is an opportunity to be hopeful and grow our friendship with God.

  • During Lent God calls us to be hopeful and positive in our relationships with each other.

  • We can be ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ throughout the Year of Jubilee.

Wednesday Word

At Our Lady's we like to support our parents/carers in Online Safety matters.

Keeping children and young people safe online is one of the biggest challenges facing society today and it is all of our responsibility to ensure that children are educated to make positive, informed choices when they are online.

This month’s online safety guide gives helpful advice about…

What Parents & Educators Need to Know about Bluesky Social App. This free guide discusses the growing popularity of Bluesky, a public-first microblogging social media platform, and explores what parents and educators can do to ensure children's safety when using the app.

We hope you find these guides informative and helpful in promoting the positive use of technology to make the online world a better and safer place for us all. Thank you.

Our learning this week…

In English, we have been creating some of our own sentences to describe the characters’ feelings within our class text. This week we have focused on editing our work and using a range of adverbs and adjectives to add further description.

In Maths we have continued our topic on ‘Capacity’. This week we have applied our skills of finding equivalent amounts, comparing and calculating measures, to solve a variety of real life word problems involving two steps.

In History, we have been learning about Ancient Egypt, we have been exploring the beliefs of the Ancient Egyptians using skills of historical enquiry to investigate sources of evidence.
