Jubilee Joy: Receive

The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

John 4:14

Key Messages for Whole School Worship

Children will understand that:

  • The Year of Jubilee is an opportunity to draw closer to God.

  • During Lent, Jesus invites us to receive full forgiveness from God.

  • We can all be ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ by sharing the forgiveness and peace God offers us.

Wednesday Word

At Our Lady's we like to support our parents/carers in Online Safety matters.

Keeping children and young people safe online is one of the biggest challenges facing society today and it is all of our responsibility to ensure that children are educated to make positive, informed choices when they are online.

This month’s online safety guide gives helpful advice about…

What Parents & Educators Need to Know about TikTok. This free guide explores the potential online safety risks of TikTok, letting you know how to safeguard children and young people who use the platform.

We hope you find these guides informative and helpful in promoting the positive use of technology to make the online world a better and safer place for us all. Thank you.

Our learning this week…

In English, we have read and explored our class text ‘Into the Forest. The children have worked hard to write their own descriptions using a range of adverbials to create interest and detail.

In Maths we have continued our ‘Fractions’ topic. This week we have been using fraction walls to find equivalent fractions and applying our knowledge to a range of word problems.

In History, we have been learning about Ancient Egypt, we have been exploring how the river Nile was important to the civilisation, considering farming and trade in detail.

SCIENCE WEEK…

This week the children have enjoyed a variety visits to school including the falcons and the reptiles. This was part of our Science Week theme ‘Adaptations and Change’. We also had a recycling fashion show led by Year 6. A fun week had by all - Well done Year 3!
