Ash Wednesday 'Repent and Believe in the Good News'

There He proclaimed the Good News from God. “The time has come,” He said, “and the Kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe the Good News.”

Mark 1: 15

Key Messages for Whole School Worship

Children will understand that:

  • Jesus used parables to help explain holy things.

  • Jesus’ parables show us how to live and love others the way God wants us to.

  • In Jesus’ parables we look beyond the surface, to see the special meaning.

At Our Lady's we like to support our parents/carers in Online Safety matters.

Keeping children and young people safe online is one of the biggest challenges facing society today and it is all of our responsibility to ensure that children are educated to make positive, informed choices when they are online.

This month’s online safety guide gives helpful advice about…

What Parents & Educators Need to Know about TikTok. This free guide explores the potential online safety risks of TikTok, letting you know how to safeguard children and young people who use the platform.

We hope you find these guides informative and helpful in promoting the positive use of technology to make the online world a better and safer place for us all. Thank you.

Our learning this week…

In English, we have been using dictionaries to explore a range of interesting vocabulary linked to our new class text ‘Into the Woods’. We have been considering the effect of word choice on the reader and how this can improve our own story writing.

In Maths we have continued our topic on length and measurement. This week we have been been consolidating our understanding of our learning and applying our knowledge within a variety of word problems.

Spellings, times tables and homework

The children will be coming home with their spellings and homework on Monday 3rd March , this needs to be returned by Monday 10th March 2025.

Please can you encourage your child to access the TT Rock Stars online, logins have been sent home this week.
