King Charles III Coronation Day

A weekend of celebrations will mark the King's coronation, marked with a bank holiday weekend from Saturday 6 May to Monday 8 May.

As well as a royal crowning ceremony at Westminster Abbey, there will also be a procession, a big concert, community lunch events and a day of volunteering.

In School, we have been celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III, we have been designing and making our own castles for the new King and on Friday we had a ‘red, white and blue’ day and a royal buffet lunch. We have also been learning a ‘Coronation Day Song’ which the children enjoyed singing as a whole school during our awards assembly on Friday afternoon.

Key Messages of the forthcoming Gospel Reading…

I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.

John 14: 6
Children will learn that:

  • Children will understand that:

    • We can find God through Jesus

    • Jesus is always there for us and He calls us to Him
