Throughout this coming week in school, the children will begin each day with a Holy Week Liturgy led by each Key Stage 2 class. Year 3 will be leading the liturgy on Monday morning focused on the events of Jesus’ Last Supper. The following liturgies will focus on Good Friday and the resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday.

YEAR 3 CLASS TRIP

On Thursday 30th March, Year 3 had a great day on their class trip to Ribchester Roman Museum. It was an exciting opportunity for the children to be immersed in Roman Britain History, they had the chance to handle a range of hands-on artefacts and they were able to view the remains of a Roman Fort on the site. The children were fantastic on the trip and an absolute credit to our school. Well done to everyone in Year 3!

Our learning this week…

In RE, we have been researching the beginning of Mass, considering the importance of the Penitential Rite, as a time when Christians say sorry to God and ask for forgiveness before they enter into the Eucharist.

In English we have been building our own descriptions linked to pictures of the wonders of our world.

In Maths this week, we have been solving addition and subtraction calculations, involving length. We have also been finding the perimeters of a range of 2D shapes, using mm, cm and m as units of measures.

WEDNESDAY WORD Please follow this link below to access the Gospel Readings for the forthcoming week, there are also some fun activities to complete, this is a fantastic family resource to share and celebrate with your child at home.
