This week we look to Peter and Paul, who both have unique roles to play in the mission of the Church. Peter is the rock on which Jesus would build the Church, and Paul leads Jesus’ missionary work through his letters and teaching. Both are heroic followers of Jesus who we can be inspired by.
Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in Heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church…”
Matthew 16:16-18.

Golden tickets and Extreme Reading Challenge
Just a reminder that during the Summer term, the whole school will continue taking part in our reading challenge. Children will receive a golden ticket each time they read and get their reading diary signed three times. At the end of each half term, during our celebration assembly, we will draw a golden ticket from each class’s box, and one winner from each class will receive a reward. Please encourage your child to read regularly and bring in their signed reading diary so they can start collecting their golden tickets. Good luck everyone!
Thank you to all those who have already taken part in our Extreme reading challenge, we now have a display in school and photos can be viewed on the website.
If you’ve not yet taken part, please send your photos to admin@our-lady.blackpool.sch.uk so we can display these in school and on our website. We can't wait to see your pictures! Thank you for your support!
