"He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit" Luke 3:16

"He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit" Luke 3:16

Key Messages for Whole School Worship

Children will understand that:

  • Jesus’ baptism revealed that He is God’s beloved Son and set an example for all believers to follow.

  • Through baptism we are filled with the Holy Spirit and are invited into God’s family.

  • The Holy Spirit guides us in living like Jesus and loving others as God’s family too.

  • Our actions can share the love, kindness and generosity of Jesus to others.

Wednesday Word

At Our Lady's we like to support our parents/carers in Online Safety matters.

Keeping children and young people safe online is one of the biggest challenges facing society today and it is all of our responsibility to ensure that children are educated to make positive, informed choices when they are online.

This month’s online safety guide gives helpful advice about…

10 Top Tips for Safety on Social Media. This guide provides expert advice on helping children and young people to use social media responsibly.

We hope you find this guide informative and helpful in promoting the positive use of technology to make the online world a better and safer place for us all. Thank you.

Our learning this week…

In RE, we have begun our new topic ‘Galilee to Jerusalem.’ This week we have explored the events and meaning at the Epiphany, considering the importance of the three gifts brought by the wise men when they visited Jesus at the stable.

In English, we have been exploring word choices within our writing, using dictionaries to understand the meanings of adventurous vocabulary. We have also started our new class text ‘Rhythm of the Rain’, making predictions based on illustrations from the story.

In Maths we have been using known number facts to solve a range of multiplication and division calculations, We have also been working hard to use the ‘greater than’ less than’ and ‘equal’ signs to make comparisons between the values of the total answers

In Science, we have started our new topic ‘Light and Shadows’. This week we thought about the difference between objects that are a source of light and those that are not.
