I was reflecting on the above quote from Pope Francis this week, and was filled with immense pride. This class have been showcasing their talents in so many ways, and proving what a talented bunch they are indeed! Whether it be dancing, singing, acting, designing programmes or editing music, each member of this class has been working together to produce something great. They have shown such commitment and dedication during production rehearsals, and their efforts really are paying off. Thank you, Year 6.

This week we also recieved the statue of Our Lady from Holy Family Primary school. We are the last school in the diocease to receive the statue and Year 5 led us beautifully in a service this morning, when the handing over of the statue took place…

Waterpark preparation for Monday!

On Monday the children need to arrive at school for the normal start time 8.45am, dressed in comfortable travelling clothes. The coach usually departs at about 9.15am. They will line up on the yard as usual and then go straight into the hall with their suitcases and parents are welcome to stay with them until they leave. They can bring a small backpack with them to take on the coach, in which they might like to pack a book or puzzles etc. No food or drink are to be taken and eaten/drank on the coach. On Friday they usually arrive back to school at about 2.30pm but a text will be sent to parents on the day to give a more precise time.

Below I have attached the packing list so you can use it as a checklist after you have finished your packing.

Packling List

We had a little Q & A session this afternoon all about the residential and I know the class are very excited. Some are feeling a mixture of nerves and excitement, which is completely normal! When they get there, with all the activiites and fun things to do, those nerves will soon ease! I am sad I won’t be there but I cannot wait to check the website for updated pictures and I know I will hear allll about it on their return!

Year 6 Drumming Showcase

We had the privilege of watching our Year 6’s in a drumming performance today. Wow! Another example of talent from our class. I, along with the rest of the school, were so impressed with their drumming skills!

Just a reminder that during the Summer term, the whole school will continue taking part in our reading challenge. Children will receive a golden ticket each time they read and get their reading diary signed three times. At the end of each half term, during our celebration assembly, we will draw a golden ticket from each class’s box, and one winner from each class will receive a reward. Please encourage your child to read regularly and bring in their signed reading diary so they can start collecting their golden tickets. Good luck everyone!
