This week year 4, despite the heat, have been working extremely hard.

In maths we have been working on time and perfecting our skills in both plotting and solving unknow coordinates respectively.

The children in Year 4 have been diving into the inspiring story Manfish: The Exciting Life of Jacques Cousteau. Through this beautifully illustrated book, they’ve explored Cousteau’s passion for the ocean, his adventurous spirit, and his ground breaking inventions. The pupils have engaged in thoughtful discussions, creative writing, that reflect Cousteau’s message about protecting the underwater world. It’s been a fantastic journey of curiosity and discovery!

Year 4 have been astounded by the incredible inventions of the ancient Maya, especially their early use of rubber. The children were amazed to learn that the Maya were creating rubber balls and waterproof materials thousands of years before modern science! They’ve enjoyed hands-on activities and lively discussions, bringing history to life as they explore how these clever inventions shaped Mayan society and continue to influence us today.
