St Peter and St Paul Pray for us.jpg

'Saint Peter and Saint Paul pray for us'

THE FEAST OF ST PETER AND ST PAUL

On Tuesday 29th June we will celebrate the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, in school we will be taking part in a ‘virtual’ mass. . We celebrate these two because they were absolutely vital in the development of the early Christian Church. We remember Peter as the one who Jesus chose as leader despite, or maybe because of, the times when he struggled with his faith and found it hard; or times when his feelings were unsure and uncertain. We remember Paul as the one who put into words the ideas about who Jesus was, and who spread his message across the known world. Neither of them were perfect and they struggled with lots of the same things that we struggle with today. This week we will be considering some of these messages in class.

PICTURES OF SPORTS DAY PRACTISE…

Due to the weather, our sports day was cancelled this week, but we are hoping to reschedule this for next Thursday. Please enjoy some of these pictures from our sports day practise over the past couple of weeks…

Our learning this week…

In English, we have been using a range of vocabulary and sentence structures to develop our techniques within creative writing.

In Maths, we have been exploring decimals, and placing on a number line to demonstrate our understanding of their value. In Shape, Space and Measures, we have been learning more about ‘Time’, this week we have explored how to convert between digital and analogue time.

In RE, we are continuing with our topic ‘Belonging to the Church’. We continued our research on the church website of Our Lady’s to find out more about our own parish community and presented our findings to the class.
