Our learning this week…

In English the children have been using a range of conjunctions and sentence starters to produce their own creative sentences linked to the story of ‘The Iron Man’.

In Maths we have been using addition and subtraction to solve calculations involving adding and taking away 1 or 10 from a 3-digit number. We have explored calculations which involve making exchanges.

In Geography the children investigated the capital cities of the countries of Europe, using maps and atlas’ to locate .

In Science, we have thought about the differences between exoskeletons, endoskeletons and hydrostatic skeletons, exploring some of the key advantages and disadvantages of each type of skeleton.

In RE, we have been continuing to develop our understanding within the topic ‘Creation and Covenant’. This week we have explored the poetic language of the Creation Story within the Book of Genesis.

Spellings, times tables and homework

The children will be coming home with their spellings and homework on Monday 30th September , this needs to be returned by the following Monday.

Please can you encourage your child to access the TT Rock Stars online, logins have been sent home this week.
