“This is the opportune moment to change our lives! This is the time to allow our hearts to be touched!”                                                                    Pope Francis

On Tuesday 18th October, together with all of the Catholic primary schools in our cluster, we will be journeying to Lancaster to take part in a pilgrimage which will mark the end of our work about 'The Year of Mercy'. The children will be singing hymns and stopping at different prayer stations as they make their way around Lancaster and then back to the cathedral. The day will finish with a short service in the cathedral before coming back to school.

Please ensure that your child is in their outdoor PE uniform for the day as it will involve walking. They will also need to have a waterproof coat (in case of bad weather). The children will also require a packed lunch on this day. (If this can be in a carrier bag then it can be disposed of rather than the children having to take a packed lunch box/bag with them into the cathedral.)

We will be leaving at 8:45am and will be returning at approximately 4.15pm. Please ensure that your child is in school for 8:30am.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the Pope's 'Year of Mercy'.

The trip is to be funded by school.
