Last Tuesday Year 5 had the privilege of working with Wedzi and Nyemu from South Africa. They visited our school to give workshops in South African dancing, singing and drumming. The children had the most enjoyable day working with them and at the end of the day performed three wonderful pieces, based on the theme of Harvest, to the rest of the school.

Year 5 made me so proud on Tuesday as they behaved so well with our wonderful visitors and so we were even more delighted to receive the following email from Wedzi and Nyemu on Friday. It was so lovely to read I wanted to share with you what they had to say about your children...

"Dear Miss Haggerty

It was a true delight to visit and share with you and everyone at Our Lady - a true African celebration!

The Year 5s and Mrs McVey are the most exceptional class we have worked with - their attention and passion is second to none. We wish each and every child the best in their life's journey and not to forget to work hard as they will reap a wonderful harvest for us all. We are both very proud of them and we would be grateful to hear their experiences of our visit.

Many best wishes

Wedzi and Nyemu "
