This week we have had a wonderful week of remembrance where the children have had the opportunity to reflect on the bravery of those who lost their lives during World War I. We thank those children who shared with us their families' stories of relatives who fought during this war.

The children have written some lovely information texts and acrostic poems about remembrance day. In learning about life in the trenches, the children have imagined what it was like and have written postcards and letters to family. Well done Year 5!

To finish our week, the children placed the poppies they made on the mounds at the bottom of the school field in remembrance of lost loved ones.
