As it is nearing the end of our time in year 4, this week has really had me thinking about the year we’ve had together. I am bursting with pride at how far every child in this class has come, both academically and socially. I have had the pleasure of watching your children makes so much progress and grow in confidence, day-by-day.

They have been worked so hard this year, and they have certainly risen to the challenge. They have used their growth mindsets to achieve so much, and I have been so pleased to see so many, who didn’t always find it easy to persevere in times of struggle, use their growth mindset to turn a negative into a positive.

I can clearly see that they are all now ready to continue on their learning journey into Year 5, and show Mrs McVey just how wonderful they are! The key thing to remember is the EFFORT=SUCCESS!!!

This week has been a chance for us to see how far we have come. I was blown away by the arithmetic scores and times tables scores every child got….they definitely proved that by putting in the effort and hard work, you will succeed!

We did another mini spelling bee in class and I was once again so impressed with the number of children that made it through to the later stages…clearly the majority of the class know their spellings inside out! A huge well done to Charlie who eventually won the Spelling Bee!

This week’s Golden Awards went to Mya for being one of the kindest girls I know-she is truly a credit to our class. The other went to Samuel for all his efforts and hard work this year-he has definitely used his growth mindset to achieve so much this year.

This week’s writing award went to Analiese for the huge improvement in her handwriting. I no longer need a magnifying glass to read her work!!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and I look forward to our last week of the school year together!
