As our journey through Lent continues, we are all continuing to grow!

In RE, we have been celebrating our differences! We don't all look the same, have the same interests or even the same beliefs, but one thing we know we all have in common is God's love for us! How special is that! We have been writing, in depth, about what everyone in the world has in common, and we have been doing really well at supporting our ideas with references from the bible.

In Maths, we have been reading and writing time on a 24-hour clock. We have been focusing particularly on the p.m times, and have been getting our head around that fact the 1 o'clock is 13:00 and the hours continue to go out until 11 o'clock, which is 23:00. Although some of us found this confusing to begin with, we have found ways to work p.m times out, using our understanding that there are 24 hours in a day.

In English, we have been drafting more amazing pieces of writing. We are writing an alternative ending to a story we have been studying, which is set in Victorian London. We will edit and improve these extended pieces of writing on Monday.

In History, we have been investigating how we know so much about Ancient Egypt today. After all, there were no videos or cameras back then as it was 1000s of years ago! We looked at some images of artefacts and paintings and did some detective work to find what clues these images gave us to what life was like in Ancient Egypt.

On top of all this amazing learning, we have been doing lots of reading! As part of the 100 million minutes challenge, we have been clocking up the minutes at school, as well as at home. Collectively, we read over 6000 minutes as a class. How amazing! Keep up this reading at home!
