This week has been a very special week as we prepare ourselves for the week leading up to the Death and Resurrection of Christ.

In RE we have been making links between the events that occurred on Holy Thursday and beliefs about Jesus. We looked at the story of Jesus washing the feet of his Disciples, reflecting that he is not any ordinary King, but a servant King, sent from God to serve others.

In preparation for our Easter Reflection Assembly, we have been re-enacting Jesus and his Disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane. We will also be sharing some beautiful reflections and prayers and we have learnt a lovely hymn to end our assembly.

Parents are welcome to come and join us in this reflection, which will begin at about 9.15am on Tuesday morning. It would be lovely to see you there!

Also this week, we have been seeing how far we have come with our reading and maths. I have been so impressed with the effort EVERY child has put into their assessments, and from these the children can see their own strengths and areas for development.

As there is no homework over the weekend, let's use this as an opportunity to read, read and read a little more! I expect lots to be ready to take a quiz, on Monday!

Have a lovely weekend.
