We have had a great week! We have rounded off our Geography topic, ready to start our new history topic, Egypt, next week. I know the children are really looking forward to this topic and already have some amazing facts to share!

I have been blown away by the amazing work the children have been doing with Macbeth, this week. Using active approaches to learning, the have familiarised themselves with the Battle Scene at the beginning of the play. They then planned and started to draft their Battle Scene descriptions. They have not yet finished their first drafts, but I am soooo impressed with the quality of their descriptions so far. Their choice of language and imagery has blown me away! I am one very proud teacher!

In Maths, they have been looking at different angles, distinguishing between acute, obtuse and right angles. They have done really well with this and have risen to each challenge given.

Details of the 500 word writing competition, that was sent home today, can be found on the homework page.

I hope you all  have a lovey weekend,

Miss Slater and the Year 4 Team
