I hope you have all had a lovely Summer break, and are now ready for an exciting year ahead, in year 4!
We have lots of great learning to look forward to and I cannot wait to see how much you have grown since I had the pleasure of teaching you in year 2!
This term, in our History topic, we will be looking at the Anglo-Saxon and Viking struggle for the Kingdom of England.
In Science, we will be studying Electricity. We will be doing lots of investigation work involving circuits and will even be making our own torches in D&T! (We will be needing cardboard tubing to make our torches, so please bring any in if you have any already!)
In RE, we will be looking at The Bible-we will be looking at the Old and New Testament as well as the four Gospels. It is important to know that the Bible is a living book through which God is telling us about himself! We will also learn how to find and write bible references.
We also have much to learn in our Maths and English, a great chance to really develop your skills in both subjects.
The curriculum overview for the year can be found on the home page-this will give you an idea of what we will be covering over the course of the whole year.
A more detailed overview of our Autumn term learning is also on the home page-please take a look to have a better idea of our learning this term!
I cannot wait to see you all tomorrow and I look forward to our exciting learning jouney ahead!
