We have learnt a lot this week!

In English, we finished writing our 'Big Write'. We planned, drafted and edited (using our Purple Pen of Progress!) our writing before highlighting our personal writing targets. When we had done all that, we did a final draft, ready for our display.

Here's our writing display.

In Maths, we have been finding fractions of amount. We have learnt the rule to always divide the amount by the denominator and then times that by the numerator!

In Science, we have been learning all about electrical conductors and insulators. We did an investigation to find out what materials were conductors/insulators.

Here are some pictures of us testing materials...

In History, we have been learning all about the Viking raids and invasion of Britain. We are writing some diary entries from the point of view of the Anglo-Saxons, documenting the key dates and events that occurred when the Vikings came (and eventually stayed) in Britain.

In RE, we have been thinking about some questions that we find difficult to answer. We looked, in detail, at the story of Jonah and came up with questions about the story that we found tricky to answer ourselves. We then asked for our friends to respond to those questions. Next week, we are going to reflect on our friend's response and compare them to our own views.

Overall, we have had a week full with some amazing learning...our brains are definitely growing!!
