Our second week in Year 3 has really flown by. Before we know it, it will be Christmas! The children have had another fabulous week of learning and are really growing in their maturity and behaviour each day. This week we created our class rules so that we can understand what we need to do to be a good member of Year 3.

We also took part in a class vote to decide which children were going to represent our class on the school council. Molly and Adam were the chosen children - a huge well done to both of them! I know they will be fabulous school council members.

In Maths this week we have been looking at our number bonds to 20 as well as adding a one digit number to a two digit number. Some of us found this a little bit tricky but we applied our growth mindsets and we got there in the end.

In English we have started a new topic on fables. The children worked in groups to perform a fable, such as the boy who cried wolf, and then they had to match the moral to the fable. Their performances were fantastic!

In Science we have continued our work on Rocks and have been trying to use scientific vocabulary to describe different rocks.

In R.E. we have been thinking about why we go to Church and special occasions in our own lives that have brought us there, such as Baptisms and Weddings.

Our certificates this week were awarded to:

Golden Award - Declan

Maths Award - Nathaniel

Please see the homework tab for details of this weeks tasks.

Have a lovely weekend.
