To start our week we had a go at following a set of instructions to create our very own woolly mammoths using milk cartons, tissue paper, card and pipe cleaners. The children did a fantastic job and they are now on display in our classroom. Today we have planned our very own set of instructions and we will be writing these next week - all based on the book 'How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth'.

In Maths we have started to look at 3D shapes and their properties. We were very good at this! The children can confidently name lots of 3D shapes as well as describing their properties. Can you spot any 3D shapes in your house?

In Science we have continued our animal and human nutrition topic and are enjoying our roles as personal trainers. We have been busy compiling some data for our 'clients' which we will present in a few weeks time.

I have been super impressed this week with the children's positive attitudes and hard work. Well done Year 3.

Award winners this week are:

A date for your diary: Sports Day is on the 5th July at 9.30am. Please can you ensure the children are in full PE kit that day with sun cream applied. Thank you!

Have a lovely weekend.
