We have fully embraced our new History topic of the Romans. The children are really enjoying learning lots of interesting facts about them. This week we were looking at the Celtic Queen Boudicca who led a rebellion against the Romans. The children did some lovely writing on her life and have even learnt a song about her in Music - ask them to sing it to you! They learnt this song last term but still know it off by heart, it's very catchy!

In Science this week we have designed our very own space farms - we had to think about all the requirements plants need for growth and include those in our designs. The children have come up with some fabulous creations.

We are continuing to look at time in Maths - this week we have started to learn about how to tell the time to the nearest minute. Any practice you can do on this at home would be greatly appreciated.

In English our poetry topic continues and we are adding to our vocabulary by learning new words such as onomatopoeia and alliteration. The children have enjoyed finding examples of these in a poem we have been looking at on the water cycle.

Please see the homework tab for details of the work set for this week.
