The highlight of our week was going to the tennis club on Wednesday for our final tennis lesson. The children were so well behaved and sensible, and once we got there they played some fantastic tennis. It was such a hot day but there was no complaining at all! I have since sent a letter home with the children from the tennis club detailing some lessons they do there - there is a free one on a Thursday so I do hope some of the children consider going as they seemed to have really enjoyed learning this new sport.

In Maths this week we have finished our topic on time and I am so proud of all of the children who have persevered and shown great resilience during this tricky topic. A lot of us have found it hard but we have come through the other side! Well done Year 3.

In History this week we have learnt about Roman homes and designed our very own.

In Science we have started new topic looking at animals and their skeletons, as well as looking at what they eat. We are going to tie this in with the human diet also.

I was exceptionally proud of all the children who last week took their First Holy Communion. They all looked fantastic and it was truly a lovely service. The children have worked so hard to get to this point and I am so happy that I got to be a part of it. We have the remainder of our group taking their First Communion this weekend so I am looking forward to celebrating with them.

Our award winners this week are:

Golden - all of Year 3 (for fabulous behaviour on our trip)

No other awards given out this week.

Have a lovely bank holiday weekend.
