I can't believe we are three weeks in to our summer term already! Before we know it the children will be heading in to Year 4. So many of the children have matured beautifully this year and will be more than ready for their new school year in September. I am very proud of them all.

This week we have been very busy. In Maths we have continued to look at our new topic of time. We are finding this very tricky but we will get there eventually. If you could try to spend some time with the children helping them to tell the time on an analogue clock that would be super!

In English we have been looking at Poetry ready to start our very own poem in the next couple of weeks. The children are really enjoying this topic and its associated word play.

In Science we are continuing our plants topic and have just completed an experiment on water transportation in plants. To do this we added food dye to some water in bottles and put some white flowers and leafy celery in the bottles. Over the next few days the flowers and the celery leaves changed colour to match the food dye in the water. Ask the children how this happened!

In R.E. we are nearly at the end of our topic on the Mass. This has tied in nicely with the children's communion journey. Please spend some time with the children helping them to learn their Mass responses.

This week we were also lucky enough to go on the Life Bus to see Harold and Katie. We had a great time learning about the brain and the children were thrilled to see Harold! We learnt all about the different systems in our bodies also.

Please see the homework tab for details of this weeks homework - can you also ensure the children are reading every night and making notes based on what they have read.
