We have ended the week on a high with the children having had a wonderful day celebrating World Book Day. They all looked absolutely fabulous so a huge thank you to all of you for the effort made. 

Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our lovely chicks this morning. We have all grown very attached to them and will miss them lots. They were definitely ready to move on though as they were getting quite big and needed more space. We believe we had 6 girls and 4 boys in the end.

In Maths this week we have been learning about addition using the expanded column method. The children have blown me away with how well they have done on this. We will be continuing to look at this next week too. 

In English we have focused on our chick diaries this week and writing down all the important information of the hatching process as well as talking about our experiences of holding them. 

In R.E we are looking at the Mass and have been talking about how sharing and listening play a big part in this. We talked about how we share in Holy Communion and listen to God's Word. The children shared some lovely examples of times when they have listened or shared.
