We started the week with World Kindness Day. We made a special effort to be kinder to one another but we also discussed how we should be behaving this way anyway. We talked about how Jesus treated those around him and how he would never have been unkind to anybody.

On Monday we created some beautiful Remembrance Day art. We all created a ‘stained glass’ window with a remembrance day image and then used coloured tissue paper to decorate them. They look fantastic! We also painted some poppies using only dots.

In English this week we have written a descriptive piece of writing on the port of Ephesus from Shakespeare’s A Comedy of Errors. I have been absolutely blown away by the children’s writing and imaginations and I am so very proud of them all. I can’t wait to see their writing progressing even further this year.

In Maths we have been focusing on number lines and placing 2 and 3 digit numbers on them. We have also looked at 3D shape and made our own out of modelling materials.

In Science we made our very own compost bins! The children had a great time getting their hands dirty and even handled some tiger worms. Well done Year 3.

In Geography we took part in a Europe scavenger hunt using the ipads.

Our award winners this week are:

Golden - Isabelle. For being such a hard worker with an enthusiastic attitude to her learning.

Writing - Laciee. For producing some lovely writing so far this year and for always remembering her punctuation.

Maths - Nevaeh. For trying so hard in her Maths work and constantly trying to improve. A great attitude to have.

Have a lovely weekend.
