It has been so lovely to welcome Year 3 back this week, I have certainly missed them over the holidays! They have had some lovely stories to share with us as to how they spent their Christmases!
In Maths this week we have been looking at the place value of three digit numbers as well as learning how to multiply and divide a number by 10.
In English we have been putting the finishing touches to our own episodes of A Tale of Two Robots, ready to start our new topic soon of Macbeth. I am so excited to start this topic with the children and I know we will produce some fantastic work as a result!
In Science we have been planning our own experiments to test out magnetic force in various ways - with a focus on how powerful the force is. I know the children are looking forward to carrying out these experiments on Monday.
In R.E. we have been looking at the story of Zaccheus - the children have produced some lovely writing on this. Well done Year 3!
Homework - Instead of setting the children spellings to learn this weekend I have sent them home with a homework book and two pages to complete in it (pages 58-59). I feel the children need some further work on their use of inverted commas and this is what their homework is on. Please ensure the children try to complete this as independently as possible. This homework is due in on Monday.
