We have had an absolutely fabulous day today at Brockholes, the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We went prepared for terrible weather but in the end we were quite lucky. There was some mild rain while we were outside this morning and none at all while we were outside this afternoon. It was, however, extremely cold!

We spent the morning building dens and learning how to light fires as they did in the Stone Age, with the children each having a turn at fire lighting themselves. The afternoon was spent looking at different rock types, visiting the stone circle and making our very own rock pets.
