Many congratulations to all the children for their wonderful reflection on Palm Sunday on Friday afternoon - thank-you to all those family members who were able to join us. KS1 started our Holy Week reflections off in a joyous manor...well done to you all. KS 2 will help us to consider the events of the rest of Holy Week as we move through our last week of term this week......they will enable us to remember the pain felt by Jesus and how He was prepared to sacrifice himself for us. A greater love we will will never know.

Awards........All of Year 2 have worked hard this week, but these are the children who have really shone....

Focus - please continue to read, read, read! Also question your child about twat they have read, what happened in the story? What have you learnt?

Maths - learning multiplication tables 2,3,5 and 10 and being able to use the facts to aid division.

Thank-you to all to those parents who were able to join me on Tuesday for my SAT's meeting - it was a good turn out! Please read the letter to see how you can support your child at home. Reading really is the key - as is learning basic maths skills. We will start out quizzes this week and the children will bring these home so you can see what they can do by themselves - to a time limit.

Thank-you...Mrs Hollinghurst and Mrs Bowdell
