We have had a busy week...

Maths award went to Declan for his great estimation work and his ability to explain his thinking

Golden Award went to Brodie for being an excellent role model in Year 2 - beautiful manners, hard working and always thinking of others before herself.

In English this week we have been looking an stories with familiar settings and looking at how characters are described. We have examined how characters change over the course of a story and when, and why, we should use a capital letter.

In Maths we have been using the greater than, less than and equals signs, ordering numbers and placing a two digit number in between two others.

In History we have made time lines to order the events that took place over the four days of the Great Fire of London.

In Science we have learnt to name the parts of plants and thought about what a plant needs to survive. We are doing a good job of looking after our table plants!

In RE we have been giving compliments to each other!

HOMEWORK - plenty of reading please and have a go and practicing some of the Common Exception words from the list I gave you on Wednesday night. For Maths please practice ordering two digit numbers and using the vocabulary less than and greater than.

Have a great weekend - Mrs Hollinghurst
