We have been hard at work since we returned to school after the half-term break! We have spent a lot of time talking about remembering, and that this weekend marks a very special time of Remembrance for the whole country. I have been really touched by the sensitive manner in which the children have approached this topic.

We are currently working on comprehension skills in English and Guided Reading and this will remain a huge focus for us for the rest of this year. Please do not be alarmed if your child finds this week's homework tricky.....it just needs practice and there will be lots of that!

Please refer to the Year 2 overview on the main page of the website for this half term's topic....as well as preparing for our Nativity, we will learning about Florence Nightingale in History and circuits in Science.

No awards were given out this week due to Year 6 leading us in quiet reflection for Armistice Day in assembly today. All awards will be handed out on Monday.

DO NOT FORGET MATHS DAY ON TUESDAY 15TH NOVEMBER! I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOUR OUTFITS.
