We have been looking at the science topic 'electricity' this term in Year 2. These past few weeks we have been looking at electrical circuits and we made our own simple circuits, using 2 wires, one battery and one light bulb-and we successfully made our bulbs light up!

This week we did an investigation to see which materials were conductors of electricity (DO let electricity pass through them), and which were insulators. We planned our investigation, making predictions and writing down our method. We chose to test 4 different materials, and these were; wood (ruler), metal (paperclip), rubber and card.  When we had completed the investigation we recorded our results and discussed what we found out.

Here are some pictures of us doing the investigation....
