We have had an eye opening week in Year One. In Science we have been looking at the different parts of plants and trees. I do hope the children can point them out to you this weekend and remember their names.

In Maths we have been learning about capacity and volume. The children have enjoyed lots of practical activities and we have been reading scales. Please experiment in the sink and in the bath with different containers and enjoy learning about volume and capacity!

We enjoyed acting out the story we are learning this week in the hall. The children showed wonderful listening skills when they watched their friends performing parts of the story.

In RE this week we took on the role as the disciples and talked about questions we would have asked Jesus when he appeared in the upper room. The children's responses were very thoughtful which shows a deep understanding of how they were all feeling at the time.
In PE we are working on throwing underarm and catching this half term so feel free to have a go and see the progress which the children have been making.

Please keep up all of your fantastic reading at home!
