What an exciting week we have had in Year One. In maths we have been learning about fractions. The children have enjoyed growing their brains and they have blown me away with their problem solving skills. We have focused on halves and quarters and the children are very confident in finding halves and quarters.

In computing we have been looking at algorithms and programming. Year One have produced some super step by step instructions which are very clear so the computer or robot knows exactly what to do.

In RE we have learned about the Prodigal Son this week. The children loved hotseating the two sons and the father. They asked some fantastic questions, welldone to Idana, Leo and Ollie for their fantastic answers. We then did conscience alley where the children could say what they thought of the sons and the father as they walked by.

The children looked fantastic today. Thank-you for all of your hard work with their outfits, we have had a lovely day sharing books and enjoying them. Please see the Year One - Galleries section of the website for photos of the children in their outfits.

Here are some pictures from the week for you to have a look at,

Have a lovely weekend.
