What a busy week in Year 1. Firstly, on Monday we had Mr Swindlehurst in for our PE lesson where we did lots of throwing, hopping and skipping. It was lots of fun!
On Tuesday we had our European languages day and in Year 1 we celebrated France. We made our French passports, learned some french words and had a go at making the tallest Eiffel Tower we could out of straws!
On Wednesday we started our artwork inspired by Andy Goldsworthy - have a look at some of the pictures, the children worked really hard doing these. We then went on a shape hunt in the afternoon as we have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes in maths!
On Thursday we were learning about the wonderful world that God has made for us. The children came up with some lovely promises which they would like to keep to help to look after God's world. We have put them on display in the corridor!
On Friday we continued our super dancing with Mrs Frost. We are very lucky to have such an expert helping us to improve our dancing skills.

Thank-you for all of your efforts with the children's outfits on Tuesday, they all looked fantastic!

Please keep up the fantastic reading at home and enjoy your weekend!
