We have had a lovely week in year one. In English we have looked at a variety of traditional tales to finish off our topic. In Maths we have been measuring length and weight, the children have been really enthusiastic and ready to face the challenges they were set.

I am sure you are aware we are going on a trip to Skipton Castle on Wednesday 29th March. Our Lady's has been very generous and helped with the cost for the coach and we have asked for £8 per child to go towards the cost. All of the children were sent home with letters explaining the trip and there is a consent form to return to school along with sandwich filling choices. Thank-you to those who have returned it already. The children will be required to come in their PE kit for the trip and to bring a coat. We will set off at 9:30 and we aim to be back in plenty of time for the end of the school day.

Learning logs are due back on 22.3.17.

Thank-you for putting your child's reading diaries in their bags each day, it allows us to let you know when we have done guided reading in school.

Today we have been making castles out of biscuits and icing - I have attached some photos if you wish to take a look! We had some fantastic drawbridges.

Have a lovely weekend!
