We really are half way there in year one! Three half terms have flown by and the children have made such super progress. This week we have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes again this week, the children have such a good understanding of shape and the properties of shape.

In English we have been writing a recount, a diary entry to explain what we did on our pirate day. The children have written beautifully and they have been trying to include words such as: firstly, secondly, then and after that.

We enjoyed safer internet day on Tuesday and we discussed what we should and should not put on the internet. The children sorted pictures into those which could go on the internet and those that should not - they really created a clear understanding about this.

We are learning about The Tempest through 'shanty and spells' with the Royal Shakespeare Company on Friday morning so we are all very excited.

Learning logs will be sent home when we come back after half term, the children will come back to school on Tuesday 21st February. We hope you have a lovely half term break.
