We have continued our learning about the seas around the UK this week. The children are really getting to grips with the countries in the UK and the surrounding seas. We have been trying to figure out which sea the scuba diver might be in!
Year 1 have also been learning an under the sea dance which we have filmed, they have worked really hard to remember all of their dance moves. Please watch the dance below!

In maths we have been looking at fractions: halves, quarters and some thirds. See if you spot any fractions or make any fractions this weekend, you may be surprised how many times you do! Pizza sharing, meatball cutting... we use them in so many ways!

In Read Write Ink the children have been working on their books in our RWI groups. Please read your books over the weekend, you should have one basket book and one book which is more challenging to help you develop your reading at home. We will change both books on Monday if they have been completed.

In RE we looked at how we prepare for Christmas in school, church and at home... we are not quite at that time yet but we certainly have some excited children ready to celebrate Jesus' birthday.

Have a lovely weekend.

Miss Dixon and the Y1 team.
