We have been blessed with a fourth great week in year one. We have been very busy doing lots and lots of new things, including starting work in our busy books and handwriting books! A sheet explaining how to do the pre-cursive letters was sent home on Thursday if you would like to do any practice at home.

Sorry 2 of the spellings were cut off the learning logs, all five of the spellings are: the, today, said, your and they. The learning logs are due back on Wednesday 5th October.

European day is not next Wednesday, the date is now Tuesday 11th October and a letter will be sent home about it. Our country is Scotland so if children could come into school in blue and white that would be great.

Show and tell will be every other Friday and it will be on the Friday when the learning logs have been returned on the Wednesday (so it will start next Friday). We will select children who may show and/or tell and let them know before hand due to time restrictions.

Our golden award winner this week is Jensen for showing great enthusiasm towards learning both in groups and independently. Keep it up Jensen!

We hope you have a lovely weekend.
