Wow 3 weeks really have flown by in Year 1! The children have had an exciting week this week. We had a letter off the dad from the story we have been looking at in English 'my dad' and we have been helping him measure in maths using his footprints! We have been doing lots of estimating this week - a brand new word for many Year 1 children!

It was lovely to see many faces at meet the teacher on Wednesday. Please feel free to ask me any questions at the end of the school day.

Learning logs have gone home tonight and they are due back on Wednesday the 5th October. It will be great to see what the children have managed to do! They have a maths task which involves ordering 2 digit numbers and 5 spellings to learn. There are also other tasks in their learning logs which they may have a go at.

We also started learning about the promise God made to Noah in Noah's ark today and we made rainbow wristbands to remind us of the promise.

The winner of our golden award this week is Declan, for a super attitude towards learning and being so focused on all of the tasks he completes. Welldone Declan!

We hope you have a lovely weekend.
