We had a lovely trip to the Sea Life Centre on Tuesday, the children were so well behaved - they really made Our Lady's proud. We listened to two talks and had the chance to feel a starfish and a crab. The children were very brave! I have uploaded some pictures from our trip in the galleries section: Year 1 - galleries.

We had our dress rehearsal on Wednesday for our Nativity performance and we cannot wait for you to come and see it on Monday at 2pm or 6pm. Parents/guardians have 2 tickets for each of the showings which were sent home a couple of weeks ago.

Topmarks is a brilliant website for fun games which will also help the children learn. You could have a go on these if you get chance over the holidays. Here is a link to some addition and subtraction games on the website: http://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/5-7-years/addition-and-subtraction

It is really important that the children continue to read as much as possible over the holidays so please keep your super reading up! It does not have to be the same school book, you could pop to your local library and see if you can find any books to read there!

Keeping a Christmas diary would also be lovely for the children to continue to write over the holidays, the children may bring in their Christmas diary when we come back and we could discuss what everybody has been doing!

We hope you have a very special Christmas and a Happy New Year!
