We have had an exciting week in year one this week. On Tuesday the children put their weighing skills to the test and made some lovely cookies to take home. We have been moving on in our English and Maths. In English we are now looking at fantasy stories! It would be great if the children could read and/or watch some fantasy stories - I have put some suggestions in their learning logs. In Maths we have been working on our number bonds to 10, there are so many ways to make 10!

The learning logs have been sent home tonight and they are due back to school on Wednesday 19th October. Some of the work that had been completed at home was incredible! The children really benefit from consolidating their learning at home.

European day is next Tuesday 11th October so please could the children come into school in blue and white for Scotland!

We did not have golden assembly today so next week I will be able to announce two golden award winners, our winner from this week will find out next week who they are!

Keep up the great work year one and have a lovely weekend with lots of fun and reading!
