Hooray, the sun is making a comeback and we can make great use of our outdoor area again here in Reception. We have had a lovely week, writing our own versions of whatever next and playing one more and one less bingo. The children have spoken about their feelings when they started Reception and what they have achieved since starting their learning journey at Our Lady’s. They were thoughtful in their responses and it was lovely to hear them acknowledge their achievements. We discussed feelings about moving into Year One and what they expect, perhaps you could discuss this with the children at home? This will really support them in their transition.

We had a fantastic day on Wednesday, two lovely ladies came from the library and one lovely alien came all the way from Pluto! The children wrote letters to the children that live on Pluto and the children will soon be able to read their individual replies from the children of Pluto! You should have a leaflet in your child’s bag from the library to explain further. There is also a little flyer for rocket making at the Central Library on Saturday 22nd June at 11am and Saturday 29th June at 2pm.

Please make sure you have next Wednesday 26th June’s Shakespeare festival here at our school in your diaries. It is from 4.30-6pm on our school field, there will be lots of acting, traditional stalls from the fair and fun activities to enjoy.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.
