I can’t quite believe it, we have 5 weeks left together before the children move to Year One. How the time has flown! I can see children are maturing and becoming very ready for their transition, which is what we will be preparing for this last half term.

Our new topic is Space, the children have shown an interest in this topic throughout the last half term so we have loved our first week learning all about it. We have read Whatever Next! The children have written lists of things that they would pack and take to the moon, they have ordered the story and some children have written their own version of the story.

In Maths we have been counting forwards and backwards to 20 and counting from certain numbers. We have also been looking at o’clock and adding numbers together completing number sentences. I think you can you tell we are nearly ready for year one, with so much fantastic learning in just one week!

We have continued our sports day practice, we look forward to the big day on Friday 5th July!

This week was our last week of show and tell, we are so busy now over the last few weeks that we won’t be able to fit it in! Next week we will have a visit from the Library service, we will be doing a ‘Letter to Pluto’ activity session, which is very exciting!

I hope you have a lovely weekend with your families.
