Just before half term, we finally finished observing our butterfly life cycles. After 7 weeks of eating and growing, our little caterpillars emerged from their cocoons as beautiful butterflies. The whole experience was so magical for the children and their amazement and fascination was lovely to see.

We were joined by our neighbours from Year 1 to wave bye bye to our little insect friends as they began the next part of their exciting life cycle. Hopefully they will leave us some eggs of their own in our garden!
